I have been to this technology center in Indianapolis five times now learning from the best of the best. Anyone can sweep a chimney, but that's not all we do here at Boise Chimney Company. We focus on the Safety and Integrity of your system. Before we leave your place, we need to be able to confidently tell you that it is safe to start a fire in your home. That is a responsibility we don’t take for granted, hence the constant trainings we put ourselves through. It is very important to stay up to date on Standards, Codes, and Regulations. We have found that the easiest way to do that is to meet up regularly with those who teach it and preach it!

Rebuilding a Giant Smokestack

I had the privilege to work with a company in Pennsylvania and help on many large projects including this smokestack that was hit by lightning and needed to be rebuilt.

Being a Chimney Technician Takes a Special Type of Person

Helping this industry evolve into a highly educated and skilled trade is something I plan to accomplish here in the Treasure Valley. Reading regulations and following code and standards just comes natural to me as it’s something I've been doing for 20 years flying around airplanes. Safety first and the following of SOP’s is the mentality we use here at Boise Chimney and I hope that our clients will notice this at each visit. We are Chimney Technicians and not just Chimney Sweeps. A “Chimney Sweep” is a thing of the past. Sure, we will sweep your chimney, but making sure it is safe to burn and that your system is structurally sound is our main duty here at Boise Chimney Company as Chimney Technicians. Lighting a fire in your home shouldn't come without a little hesitation. It's a serious matter that could have serious consequences if proper precautions have not been taken.
